Core convictions
-The Bible has presented many example of people ho are loyal for us to follow the example of, mainly Jesus, hence it is right by the Word to follow Jesus' example and remain loyal in one's own life.
-Above all, love is the most important. Jesus said so, hence to live a life of love is of utmost importance.
-Fakeness includes lieing which ends up leading to more lies which hence leads to an ultimate downfall of sins, which is why authenticity is important.

Descriptions
Three of the most important core convictions in my life deal with love, loyalty, and authenticity. All three of these convictions are something that i find at the basis of all of my decisions in my life. Let's start with love. Above all, love is the most important. Jesus said so himself, hence to live a life of love is of the utmost importance. To be living a life of love is to be living and following in Christ's example, which is the goal of Christian followers. The second of my core convictions has to do with loyalty. The Bible has presented many examples of people who are loyal for us to follow the example of, mainly jesus, hence it is right by the Word to follow Jesus' example and remain loyal to one's own life. Again, to be loyal is also leading a life like Christ. And the last of my three core convictions is involved authenticity. Fakeness includes lieing which ends up leading to more lies which hence leads to an ultimate downfall of sins, which is why authenticity is important. Core convictions are very important in the lives of everday people. To me, my core convictions are what drives my everday choices and the decisions who made and will continue to make me who i am today.


Influences
There are several things that influence my core convictions. A few of those are my family, my friends, and my church community. My family is probably the most important influence in my life. They are the ones who are always around and who have the biggest say in what i believe. What i see in them, and what i see their beliefs to be, i then move to judge whether or not i think that their beliefs are something that i agree with or disagree with. If i agree strongly with their beliefs then i tend to adopt them as my own. If i agree with their beliefs, but not wholly i will take it on and adjust it to fit my own beliefs. But, being my family, i am obligated to respected their beliefs despite what i myself choose to believe. There are certain memebers of my family who i more closely relate to than others, hence them and i share beliefs more closely than the others. One of those includes my grandma. My grandma is the one who i have adopted most of my beliefs from. As for my friends, i go through basically the same judgement process about the beliefs that i do with my family members except that i take their opinions less as predominately than my family's. My friends have good beliefs, but they are not as wise and expereinced as my family members, but do deserve to be considered. Lastly, my church also has an influence on my convictions. I do take my church's beliefs highly into concideration. The church has deliberated a long time over what their convictions would be and i trust their judgement. If i did not agree with their convictins then i would not be attending the church in the first place. Since i do agree with their beliefs, i mostly tend to adopt them as my own.

lectures
One lecture from class that i found to particularly of interest to my core convictions was the lecture and corresponding reading on worship. The quote by Annie Dillard about worship really affected what i thought about authenticity and loyalty. It was turned out to be about worship being dangerous and how it should change you. In order to experience worship like that one has to be authentic in every aspect of life and has to commit to extreme loyalty to Christ. Upon hearing that quote i realized that i need to make it a goal to make myself even more authentic to be able to experience that kind of life changing worship. Another lecture that affected my core convictions was the lecture on Jesus and his following. Jesus had a following that was extremely loyal to him and to God in heaven. This helped me even further understand that i need to be loyal to be like those who followed Jesus.

Service area & everyday life
My core convictions shine through in most aspects of my everday life along with in my service area. Personally, i serve as a volunteer in a youth group. When i am working with the students, i hope that i will be able to show them my core convictions through my actions so that they may have a good example. One thing i do is that when they ask me how i am, i will never say that i am "okay" if i really truely am not. That is part of being authentic, which deals with one of my core convictions. Another thing that I am committed to doing within my service is loving every single student that i come into contact with no matter what the circumstances. That goes right into my core conviction of love. As for other ways that my core convictions shine through in everyday life. I choose to show everyone around me the authenticity in everything the ask. I choose not to lie to them. I will be real with them. Hence, the authenticity. I also choose to love everyone, which is how i show them the love of jesus which is how i show the core convinction of love to the world. I also am loyal to every person that i come into a relationship with and that plays and shows my core conviction of loyalty.
